Royal Academy Of Management Announces New International Advisory Board Of Global Leaders

Muscat: The Royal Academy of Management (RAM) has announced the formation of its newly reorganized International Advisory Board, which includes a diverse group of global leaders and prominent experts in leadership, management, and innovation.

This strategic expansion represents a significant step in RAM's ongoing efforts to improve executive education and leadership development.

The establishment of the Board reaffirms the Academy's continuous commitment to quality, international partnership, and alignment with national goals as stated in Oman Vision 2040.

Dr. Ali bin Qassim Al Lawati, President of The Royal Academy of Management, commented on the occasion: "We are delighted to welcome this exceptional group of worldwide thought leaders and experts to RAM's International Advisory Board. Their varied perspectives, broad expertise, and global vision will make important contributions to determining RAM's strategic direction.

The board will play an important role in improving our programs by providing forward-thinking views on leadership and innovation, as well as strengthening our global connections to boost the Academy's international standing. ”

His Excellency also thanked the outgoing members of the previous board, recognizing their fundamental role: "We are extremely appreciative to our former Board members for their tremendous contributions. Their vision, insight, and commitment were instrumental in establishing the Academy's initial direction and promoting the progress of its flagship projects and programs. Their assistance has established a firm basis for RAM's ascent to national prominence in executive education and a light of leadership excellence. "

Reflecting on the board's significance, he said: "We are certain that the newly formed International Advisory Board would build on this history. " It is worth mentioning that the previous board had the distinct honor of meeting His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik—may God preserve him—during the Academy's official inauguration under gracious Royal Patronage. That moment demonstrated the advisory role's strategic significance in assisting RAM's national objective. "

Dr. Al Lawati ended by stating: "We look forward to tight collaboration with our new International Board members. " Their combined wisdom and global expertise will be critical in achieving RAM's strategic goals and increasing its impact both within Oman and beyond. "

The newly appointed board consists of a distinguished group of professionals with broad global impact and a track record of achievement in government, academia, and business.

It includes Dasho Tshering Tobgay, the Prime Minister of Bhutan; Enda Kenny, former Taoiseach (Prime Minister) of Ireland; and His Excellency Eng. Abdullatif bin Ahmed Al Othman, Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees at King Abdulaziz University, former Senior Vice President at Saudi Aramco, and former Governor of the Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority.

Lim Hwee Hua, the Republic of Singapore's former Minister of Finance and Transportation; Yoshito Hori, CEO of GLOBIS and President of GLOBIS University in Japan; and Carola Schouten, Mayor of Rotterdam in the Kingdom of the Netherlands, are among the board members.

Raymond Watt, Global Chairman Emeritus of the Young Presidents' Organization (YPO), Professor Soumitra Dutta, Dean of Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford, and Arturo Bris, Director of the IMD World Competitiveness Center at the International Institute for Management Development (IMD), join them. The International Advisory Board serves as a strategic advisory group, providing expertise on a wide range of issues including governance, leadership development, global catastrophes, and future preparedness.

It helps RAM's long-term goal by providing international insights and recommendations on subjects such as leadership ecosystems, institutional excellence, and global trends.

The board is renewed every two years to provide a constant stream of new viewpoints that are consistent with worldwide trends and potential prospects.
