Royal Academy Of Administration Launches Programme To Enhance The Leadership Skills Of Omani Youth

Muscat: On Saturday, the Royal Academy of Administration inaugurated the 'Future Leadership Programme,' designed to augment and cultivate the leadership capabilities of Omani youth, aligning with the vision of "Oman Vision 2040."

This initiative is aimed at 50 Omani youth, aged between 25 and 34 years, hailing from both the public and private sectors.

The programme encompasses comprehensive learning sessions, interactive workshops, and practical training. It is executed in collaboration with esteemed institutions such as Hamad Bin Khalifa University, Globus Europe University, Matters Group, and Chaos Pilot University.

The primary focus of the programme is on addressing real-world challenges and drawing insights from both local and international leadership experiences. The objectives are multifaceted, including the enhancement of leadership competencies, the development of innovative strategies for problem-solving, the improvement of self-awareness and teamwork, and the adoption of an innovative culture within institutions.

Participants will have the opportunity to engage with leaders and experts from both within and beyond the Sultanate of Oman, thereby broadening their perspectives and strengthening their professional networks. This, in turn, will empower them to positively impact their professional and community environments.

The programme is structured over a duration of six months, featuring three in-person units and three talent labs. The learning journey is meticulously designed, starting with the first unit, "Discover," which focuses on enhancing leadership skills. Subsequently, the second unit, "Predict," delves into successful international leadership experiences. The final unit, "Leadership," is dedicated to fostering a mindset conducive to business success and achievement. Each unit is meticulously crafted to develop and enhance future skills, while also applying the best international practices among participants.

Additionally, the programme includes a visit to Japan, aimed at exploring various educational and entrepreneurial institutions and engaging with young leaders from Japan to exchange insights and experiences. This visit will cover a range of topics, including the rapid pace of technological changes, strategies for managing change, nurturing creativity and innovation within the workplace, and sustainable leadership practices.

The objective of the journey is to expand the perspectives of the participants, foster their openness towards the global community, and expose them to diverse experiences and cultures. This exposure is anticipated to introduce them to novel ideas and visions that can be applied in both their professional and personal spheres.

Dr. Fathia bint Abdullah Al Rashidi, the Assistant President of the Royal Academy of Administration for Programs Affairs, has emphasized that the Future Leaders Programme embodies the Academy's vision to cultivate young national leaders endowed with the capacity for innovation and the ability to positively influence their communities.

She further elaborated that the Academy is of the conviction that empowering the youth today constitutes an investment in the prosperous future of Oman.
