Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP) has alerted the public regarding deceptive advertisements appearing on social media that promote domestic workers at attractive prices.
The Directorate General of Inquiries and Criminal Investigation has identified these scams, which are designed to defraud individuals by accessing their financial information. These fraudulent posts often contain electronic links that can compromise personal and sensitive data.
The ROP strongly recommends that individuals do not engage with these misleading advertisements, avoid clicking on unfamiliar links, and refrain from disclosing personal or banking information on social media.
