Regional Symposium Discusses Ways To Enhance Ranking Of Omani, Arab Universities

Muscat: On Wednesday, a regional seminar on improving Arab universities' international rankings began in Muscat.

The Ministry of Higher Education, Research, and Innovation is hosting the two-day conference. Dr. Rahma Ibrahim Al Mahrouqi, Minister of Higher Education, Research and Innovation, presides over the event.

The conference is hosted in collaboration with the Arab League Educational, Cultural, and Scientific Organization (ALECSO) and the Oman National Commission for Education, Culture, and Science. It strives to improve the academic reputation of Omani universities while also solidifying their competitive position regionally and internationally.

The symposium will be used to share ideas for aligning educational institutions' practices with worldwide standards and improving important areas of performance, such as the quality of academic output, the effectiveness of educational approaches, and the impact of scholarly research.

Aside from offering expertise into Arab and global ranking systems and accreditation frameworks, the symposium provides universities with new steps to improve their reputation and ranking.
