Quran Memorisation Competition In Al Dhahirah Concludes

Ibri: The Quran memorisation competition, which was held in schools around the Al Dhahirah Governorate for all grade levels, ended on Monday as part of continuing attempts to encourage Quranic ideals and ingrain them in the hearts of children.

The closing ceremony included a review of the competition's activities and related events throughout the current academic year, as well as Quranic recitations by students from various educational levels and choral performances emphasizing the value of memorizing the Holy Quran and its role in nurturing future generations.

This year, 444 male and female students participated in the events, with 255 evaluated in the general memorization event, 160 in the recitation competition, and 29 in the categories for students with cognitive and hearing impairment.

According to the competition results, 65 students placed among the top three, with 30 in the general memorisation competition, 19 in the recitation and melodious voice competition, 8 in the intellectual handicap category, and 8 in the hearing impairment category.

Among the winners, 22 pupils placed first in various contest categories, earning them a spot in the final qualifying rounds at the Sultanate of Oman level.

The ceremony ended with Sheikh Dr. Said Humaid Al Harthy, Wali of Ibri and chief guest, recognizing the winning students in the presence of educators and parents.
