Muscat: The Pakistan Navy Ship Zulfiquar made a visit to the Port of Salalah in Oman, where it is currently engaged in Regional Maritime Security Patrol duties in the Indian Ocean.
In addition to its operational commitments, the visit coincided with the 54th National Day celebrations in Oman, which were marked by a reception hosted on board the ship. The event was graced by senior officials from the Government of Salalah, military leaders, and distinguished members from both Pakistani and Omani communities.
The purpose of this visit was to further solidify the friendly relations between Pakistan and the Sultanate of Oman. Throughout the duration of the visit, the Pakistan Navy Ship engaged in various professional interactions and conducted a Passage Exercise with the Royal Navy of Oman Ship, aiming to enhance interoperability, mutual learning, and explore opportunities for collaborative maritime operations.
The relationship between Pakistan and Oman is characterized by close and brotherly ties, founded on mutual respect, understanding, and shared interests in the maritime domain. Pakistan has consistently been at the forefront of promoting peace and stability in the region and is eager to collaborate with its friendly counterparts.
