Muscat: On Tuesday, the Ministry of Education, through the Directorate-General of Curriculum Development, joined hands with Al Suwadi Energy Company to endorse the 3D printer initiative for tenth-grade students studying information technology.
The agreement was formally signed by Dr. Yahya Al Harithi, Director-General of the Directorate-General of Curriculum Development, and Abdullah Al Rawahi, CEO of the company. The signing ceremony witnessed the presence of Dr. Afaf Al Lawati, Director of the Applied Sciences Curricula Development Department, and Hamdoun Al Rashidi, Director of Social Affairs at the company.
The signing event took place at the Ministry's General Diwan.
The primary objective of this agreement is to familiarize students with the technology of 3D printers and highlight its significance in both the local and global economies, as it is expected to be a key technology in the future.
Furthermore, the agreement aims to instill values and principles, enhance entrepreneurial skills, and integrate the subject with student projects.
By providing students with the opportunity to work with 3D printers, this initiative will enable them to gain knowledge about the technical and commercial aspects of this technology, ultimately shaping their perspective on future professions.
