Muscat: The Global Higher Education Exhibition (GHEDEX 2025) commenced on Monday at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre.
This exhibition is designed to highlight the latest academic and educational offerings, enhance the education sector by attracting both local and international institutions, and support students' ambitions across diverse fields. It plays a vital role in fostering a comprehensive educational environment that aligns with the latest global trends in education.
Featuring participation from over 90 educational institutions from Oman and beyond, the three-day event is held under the auspices of Dr. Rahma Ibrahim Al Mahrouqi, the Minister of Higher Education, Research, and Innovation.
The exhibition includes pavilions for local and international universities, a technical education and vocational training section (TRAINEX), an Edu-X pavilion focused on private, international, and boarding schools, and an Edu-Tech pavilion dedicated to educational technologies and resources.
Additionally, the event hosts the GHEDEX Conference on Educational Innovation, interactive discussions, student projects from various schools and universities, the GHEDEX Excellence Awards, and a section for the Youth Community.
Moreover, the exhibition offers students the chance to participate in workshops and career guidance sessions, aiding them in making well-informed choices regarding their future academic and professional endeavors.
On the educational side, the exhibition merges learning with entertainment through features such as a robotics and drone technology area and the GHEDEX Student Talent Showcase.
It is important to note that this exhibition is organized in partnership with the Ministry of Higher Education, Research, and Innovation, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Labour, and the Arabian Research Bureau.
