Muscat: By the end of November 2024, the total number of passengers traveling through the airports in the Sultanate of Oman reached 13,277,414.
Additionally, the total number of flights arriving and departing from these airports was recorded at 98,933, according to preliminary data released by the National Centre for Statistics and Information.
At Muscat International Airport, the passenger count reached approximately 11,737,391, reflecting a 2.7% increase. This figure includes 10,647,982 international passengers and 1,089,409 domestic passengers.
The total number of flights at Muscat International Airport by the end of November 2024 was 88,002, with 79,675 classified as international flights and 8,327 as domestic flights.
In terms of the most significant nationalities traveling through Muscat International Airport, Indian nationals led the way with 153,557 passengers, comprising 76,852 arrivals and 76,705 departures. Omani nationals followed with a total of 115,871 passengers, including 57,058 arrivals and 58,813 departures, while Pakistani nationals accounted for 49,438 passengers, with 24,115 arrivals and 25,323 departures.
Salalah Airport recorded 1,417,947 passengers, marking a 5.5% increase, serviced by 9,751 flights, which represents a 2% decrease. Of these, 4,693 were international flights carrying 612,994 passengers, while 5,058 were domestic flights with 804,953 passengers.
Sohar Airport saw a total of 66,531 passengers across 610 flights, and Duqm Airport recorded 55,545 passengers on 570 flights.
