Outcomes Of 8 Manjam Labs Training Courses Approved As Part Of Drive To Streamline Government Services

Officials at various government departments in Muscat have given their approval to the outcomes of 8 user training courses, which is part of a larger plan to streamline government procedures. These courses are being conducted through Manjam Labs and are aimed at improving 45 services. The approved outcomes include courses on various topics such as newborn registration, elderly care, socio-religious obligations, services for the disabled, protecting childhood, addressing abuse issues, post-mortem services, and registering official service periods.

In this third phase of the plan, several government institutions will benefit from the drive, including the Ministry of Health, the Supreme Judiciary Council, the Social Protection Fund, the Royal Oman Police, the Foreign Ministry, municipalities, the Ministry of Social Development, the Ministry of Education, the Security and Military Services Retirement Fund, the Ministry of Labour, the Central Bank of Oman (as well as private banks), Petroleum Development Oman, the Ministry of Justice and Legal Affairs, and the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs.

The labs have introduced various improvements, such as a "one-time request submission" that allows beneficiaries to access multiple services within a single package in the shortest possible time. Additionally, proactive services are now being provided without the need for beneficiaries to request them.

Recommendations have been made to reevaluate the laws and regulations pertaining to these training programs, offer increased support for HR professionals in the field, facilitate the sharing and utilization of data across government agencies, and streamline responsibilities and skills within relevant organizations.
