Muscat: On Sunday, the Sultanate of Oman will host the OmaniSaudi Knowledge Dialogue Forum, which is being organised by the Ministry of Higher Education, Research, and Innovation in collaboration with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's Council of University Affairs. The two-day event seeks to improve bilateral cooperation in higher education and scientific research.
Dr. Maryam Bilarab Al Nabhani, Director General of Private Universities and Colleges at the Ministry of Higher Education, Research, and Innovation, stated that the meeting is a strategic platform for boosting knowledge collaboration and expertise exchange between the two nations.
She underlined the forum's critical role in facilitating relationships between Omani and Saudi Arabian higher education institutions, encouraging mutual research initiatives, researcher exchanges, and academic collaboration. Additionally, the forum promotes the establishment of research and development centers, the increase of collaborative investments in education, research, and innovation, and the strengthening of communication connections between academic, educational, and research institutions. These initiatives are consistent with the goals of Oman Vision 2040 and Saudi Vision 2030.
Dr. Al Nabhani said that the conference will bring together academics, researchers, and policymakers from both countries to share views, ideas, and experience while exploring strategies to improve knowledge collaborations in a variety of important national sectors.
The event will include numerous dialogue sessions focusing on difficulties and prospects for developing pioneering universities in the Gulf region, the impact of the Fourth and Fifth Industrial Revolutions in supporting education, smart learning, and digital campuses, as well as scientific research and innovation collaboration. Nearly 70 Saudi universities, several research centers, and all public and private higher education institutions in Oman will attend the event.
