Omani-Iranian Business Council Discusses Ways To Boost Bilateral Cooperation

Muscat: The Omani-Iranian Business Council convened a video conference today to explore avenues for strengthening collaboration between the Sultanate of Oman and the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The meeting was led by Mohammed Abdul Hussein Baqer representing Oman, while Jamal Razeqi headed the Iranian delegation.

During the discussions, both parties reviewed the advancements made in the development of a joint electronic platform, which is set to be launched soon. This platform aims to streamline commercial activities and offer innovative solutions to expedite processes. Additionally, they examined opportunities for designating areas in Oman for Iranian firms that focus on innovation and knowledge-driven enterprises.

The agenda also included strategies for enhancing cooperation in the pharmaceutical, health, and food production sectors, as well as the potential establishment of a direct shipping route between the two nations.
