Omani Exhibition In Russia Attracts Over 400,000 Visitors

Muscat: A total of 414,481 attendees visited the exhibition titled “Omani Empire between Asia and Africa,” which took place at the Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg, Russia, from December 2023 to January 2025.

This exhibition, the second organized under the Oman Hall Initiative, received widespread acclaim from visitors hailing from various countries.

Attendees expressed their admiration for the distinctive collections, noting that they showcased the rich historical legacy of the Sultanate of Oman.

The exhibition featured a range of artefacts representing the Al Yaruba and Al Busaidi Dynasties, which established two significant maritime empires in the 17th century, reaching their zenith during that period. These artefacts highlight crucial elements of Oman’s historical identity, exemplifying its status as a prosperous, global, multicultural, and tolerant nation.
