Omani-Angolan Joint Meeting Explores Bilateral Cooperation

Muscat: Today, a collaborative meeting took place in Muscat involving several Omani ministers and undersecretaries alongside their Angolan counterparts. The purpose was to explore avenues for bilateral cooperation across various sectors of mutual interest and to strengthen relations, coinciding with the official visit of President Joao Lourenco of Angola to Oman.

During the discussions, both parties examined potential areas for collaboration in economic and trade sectors and deliberated on ways to facilitate joint investments. They emphasized the significance of enhancing strategic partnerships to achieve shared goals and promote integration.

José de Lima Massano, Angola's Minister of State for Economic Coordination, informed the Oman News Agency (ONA) that the meeting's objective was to advance relations in diverse fields, including finance, industry, fisheries, logistics, and food security. He highlighted the encouragement for business leaders to capitalize on the opportunities present in both nations.

In addition, Téte António, Angola's Minister of External Relations, expressed that the Angolan President's visit to Oman would broaden the scope of bilateral relations. He reiterated Angola's commitment to fostering joint cooperation and developing strategic ties in various sectors, particularly energy and minerals, noting the numerous opportunities available for both parties.

The meeting was attended by various officials from both nations.
