Makkah: At the yearly Misk closing event, the Sultanate of Oman received the Health Competence Commitment Award from the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The ceremony was conducted by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah on the Ministry's premises in Makkah in partnership with the Guests of Allah Service Programme to honour the Hajj Affairs Offices and non-profit groups that excelled in providing services to pilgrims during the Hajj season 1446 H.
The Sultanate of Oman's Hajj Mission received the prize for the excellent health care provided to pilgrims from the Sultanate of Oman.
A health team, including specialists, nurses, pharmacists, and other officials from the Ministry of Health, accompanies the Sultanate of Oman's Hajj mission each year.
The team establishes a facility to provide integrated health care to pilgrims in direct collaboration with their colleagues from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's relevant departments.
The Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al Rabia'a, presented the first preparations for the Hajj affairs offices for the upcoming Hajj season 1447 H.
It is a first step toward increasing preparedness and upgrading amenities for Allah's visitors.
The minister commended the government and civilian efforts in the Hajj affairs offices, which had a significant influence on the success of the hajj season for 1446 H.
