Muscat: The Foreign Ministry of Oman has released a press release expressing its support and congratulations for the recent assembly of Palestinian factions in China, following which there was a noteworthy agreement and subsequent promulgation of the “Beijing Declaration.”
The statement underscores the imperative need for Palestinian unity, advocating for the empowerment of Palestinians through all political and diplomatic means to cease the Israeli occupation of Palestinian territories. It further posits that Oman fully supports the initiative towards the establishment of an independent Palestinian state, with its eastern portion aligning with the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem designated as its capital.
"This initiative is in harmony with the aspirations of the Palestinian populace for liberty and peace, in alignment with the pertinent resolutions on international legitimacy," the statement affirmed.
