Muscat: On Thursday, experts in the fields of social policy and social protection, hailing from Oman and the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), participated in technical discussions and shared insights in pertinent areas, including child rights.
This visit by the UNICEF experts was a direct consequence of the UNICEF's regional Social Policy and Social Protection Network Meeting for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, which took place the previous week in Muscat.
The meeting served as a distinctive forum for professionals from 17 countries across the MENA region to convene, exchange their experiences, contemplate the challenges they face, and formulate strategies aimed at propelling the broader social policy agenda throughout the region.
