Oman To Witness Air Depression Next Few Days

Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman is anticipated to experience a period of atmospheric depression for four consecutive days, spanning from Tuesday, July 30, 2024, to Friday, August 2, 2024, as per statements issued by the Oman Meteorology Department.

The most recent forecasts and analyses provided by the National Multi Hazards Early Warning Center indicate that the Sultanate of Oman will be influenced by the continuation of a low-pressure system in the Arabian Sea, commencing in the evening of Tuesday, 30 July, and extending until Friday, 02 August, 2024. It is projected that the region will be subject to the advection of clouds across most of the governorates, accompanied by the possibility of isolated rainfall of varying intensity, with occasional thundershowers. This could result in the inundation of wadis and the occurrence of flash floods.

The experts at the National Multi Hazards Early Warning Center are diligently monitoring the progression of the weather conditions and are advising the public to adhere to the issued bulletins and reports.
