Oman To Experience Cooler Temperatures

Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman anticipates a minor decrease in temperatures over the forthcoming four days, spanning from Sunday, 27 October, to Wednesday, 30 October, 2024, attributed to the presence of active northwesterly winds.

In a formal announcement, the Oman Meteorological Department has stated, "Active northwesterly winds are projected to commence on Sunday evening, 27 October, and will persist until Wednesday, 30 October. These winds are likely to cause an increase in dust and sand particles in desert and exposed regions, in addition to generating high sea waves, with a range of 1.5 to 2.0 meters, along the coastlines of Musandam and certain segments of the Sea of Oman. Consequently, this is expected to lead to a relative decrease in temperatures."
