The Sultanate of Oman, through the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Investment Promotion and the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, along with various public and private sector entities, showcased the business environment and investment prospects in Oman's key sectors at the "St. Petersburg International Economic Forum" as a distinguished guest in its 27th edition.

Oman also took part in the forum's exhibition to expand Omani exports into new markets and fortify economic and trade ties with nations worldwide.

Minister Qais bin Muhammad Al-Yousef, who led Oman's delegation, emphasized the country's commitment to exploring economic collaboration opportunities and expanding trade and investment avenues. He highlighted the significance of leveraging this participation to achieve strategic economic goals, boost commercial activities across sectors, and underscore Oman's competitive advantages as a prime destination for trade and investment.

Ambassador Hamoud bin Salem Al Tuwaih underscored the focus on Oman's private sector and its promising opportunities, supported by incentives and initiatives. He mentioned potential collaborations with Russia in sectors like food security, technology, petrochemicals, and tourism.

During the forum, an Omani-Russian Forum was organized to promote investment and commercial opportunities in Oman and facilitate direct meetings between Omani and Russian companies. Additionally, on the sidelines of the forum, several significant agreements were signed. One Omani company signed a memorandum of understanding to enhance cooperation in the legal field, supporting both Omani and Russian companies. Another Omani company specializing in information security signed a memorandum of understanding with a Russian company to collaborate on cybersecurity and improve local expertise in this area.

The Sultanate of Oman's participation in the forum allowed representatives from various government agencies to engage in panel discussions and dialogue sessions focused on different sectors. These sessions covered topics such as the role of the financial sector in supporting strategic partnerships, the logistics sector and the development of roads and commercial corridors, and the importance of sustainable city development.

In conjunction with Oman's participation, the National Museum partnered with the Russian State Hermitage Museum to organize an Omani evening as part of the "Oman Hall" initiative. This event aimed to showcase Oman's rich ancient history and highlight the shared connections between Oman and the Federal Republic of Russia.
