Oman Participates In Session Of Arab Council For Population And Development

Cairo: The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Ministry of Economy, participated in the 6th session of the Arab Council for Population and Development, which took place in Cairo within the framework of the Arab League.

The delegation from Oman, which convened between the 24th and 25th of November, 2024, was led by Dr. Nasser Rashid Al Maawali, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Economy.

During the session, a variety of issues pertinent to population and development were deliberated upon. Additionally, the discussions shed light on the population policies and programs across Arab nations, with a particular emphasis on the involvement of the youth in the green economy and the empowerment of seniors in active societal participation, among other subjects.
