Kuwait: On Thursday, the Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources, participated in the ninth meeting of the GCC Ministerial Committee for Food Safety, which was hosted by the State of Kuwait.
The Omani delegation was led by Dr. Saud Hamoud Al Habsi, the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources.
The agenda included discussions on the GCC unified food law and the GCC guidelines for monitoring imported foods, among other relevant topics.
During the meeting, Al Habsi also held discussions with Hisham Saad Al Jadhey, the CEO of the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA).
Additionally, the meeting explored avenues for enhancing joint cooperation and knowledge sharing, as well as leveraging experiences in the implementation of global food safety systems to promote trade between the two nations.
