Oman-India Business Forum To Boost Ties

Muscat: The Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) hosted the Oman-India Business Forum on Tuesday, in collaboration with the Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion.

This forum is designed to foster sustainable cooperation through active engagement, innovation, and leveraging the strengths of both nations' economies. It aims to broaden investment opportunities and promote joint projects between Oman and India.

The discussions at the Oman-India Business Forum encompassed a wide range of economic sectors, including chemicals, power electronics, engineering, manufacturing, construction, ICT services and consulting, communications, solar energy, health, agriculture, food security, infrastructure, water treatment, tourism, arts, culture, and durable electrical consumer goods.

Faisal Abdullah Al Rowas, Chairman of the OCCI, emphasized the significance of the forum as a strategic platform that unites business leaders and investors from both Oman and India. He noted that it presents an opportunity to explore new avenues for growth and development in their business relations.

The forum specifically targets key economic sectors identified as potential growth drivers. The OCCI Chairman reiterated the organization's commitment to strengthening business partnerships between the private sectors of both countries.

Numerous B2B meetings took place, allowing business representatives from Oman and India to discuss and identify available investment opportunities.

The event was attended by Qais Mohammed Al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion, Piyush Goyal, Minister of Commerce and Industry of India, and Harsha Vardhan Agarwal, President of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry.
