Oman Attends 44th Session Of Arab Social Affairs Ministers Council

Manama: The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Ministry of Social Development, participated in the 44th session of the Council of Arab Ministers of Social Affairs, which took place today in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Sheikh Rashid Ahmed Al Shamsi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Development, led Oman's delegation.

The agenda included discussions on preparations for the upcoming Arab Summit, the 2nd World Summit for Social Development, and the 3rd World Summit for Persons with Disabilities, all set for 2025. Key topics addressed included issues related to families, children, the elderly, and social policies.

Additionally, the session reviewed the humanitarian conditions in the Gaza Strip and other regions facing instability. It underscored the importance of providing necessary humanitarian aid, tackling development challenges in the Arab world, and strengthening collaborative efforts in social development.
