The Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) branch in the North Al Batinah Governorate convened in Sohar to discuss the strategies of sectoral committees in addressing challenges faced by commercial sectors and ways to fulfill the expectations of the local business community.
A gathering was held in Sohar on Tuesday, presided over by Eng. Said Ali Al Abri, Chairman of the OCCI’s branch in North Al Batinah Governorate.
During the meeting, plans for upcoming events in the final quarter of 2024 were reviewed, including two significant forums. The first forum, named “Reconstruction Horizons Forum”, will concentrate on mining industries, while the second will be the 6th GCC Businesswomen’s Forum.
Decisions were made to launch trade missions in the last quarter of 2024 to boost trade volume and investments, analyze experiences of other countries in food security, industry, real estate development, and mining sectors, arrange visits to OCCI branches to enhance cooperation and communication, and address common challenges encountered by the commercial sector.
Furthermore, partnerships with various government entities and private companies were approved during the meeting, all aimed at better serving the public members.
