Muscat: The second phase of the Summer Centers 2025 Social Development participation in North Al Batinah Governorate has begun.
The second part of the General Directorate of Social Development's participation in North Al Batinah Governorate's 2025 Summer Centers events began this morning.
The participation, coordinated by the Office of His Excellency the Governor of North Al Batinah, is a continuation of community efforts to channel children's and youth's energies during summer vacation into specialized activities conducted by civil society groups in several wilayats of the governorate.
Omani Women's Associations participated alongside charitable groups, civil society organizations, and Al Wafa Centers for the Rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities.
Sultan bin Qais bin Saif Al Abri, Director General of the General Directorate of Social Development in North Al Batinah Governorate, stated that this participation is part of effective collaborations between community organizations to provide an educational and recreational atmosphere for our students throughout the summer, assisting in the formation of their personalities and development of their skills in many areas.
Omani Women's Associations participated in a range of programs and workshops. In addition to volunteer activities, these include traditional industrial workshops and palm frond training sessions, as well as scientific programs, creative thinking workshops, and several health-focused workshops.
The Al Wafa Centers for the Rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities offer activities in several North Al Batinah governorates, with a focus on a variety of artistic enterprises such as gypsum and accessories, candle mold creation, and others.
As part of their participation with charitable groups and civil society organizations, the Liwa Charity Harvest Team held numerous interactive workshops, such as the Protect Yourself and Skillful Speaker workshops, as well as awareness programs like Your Awareness Saves Lives and the Importance of Cybersecurity.
These participations underscore the necessity of activating institutional community work and coordinating government agency and civil society organization efforts, which will help children and teenagers' abilities and talents in a safe and encouraging setting.
