New Zealand Players Gain In Latest ICC Rankings

New Delhi: New Zealand's players have made notable advancements in the latest ICC rankings following their strong performance in the T20I series against Pakistan, where they secured victories in the first two matches of the five-match series.

Tim Seifert has risen 20 places to 13th among T20I batters after scoring 44 and 45 runs, while Finn Allen has climbed to 18th with scores of 29* and 38.

Former Pakistan captain Babar Azam has slipped one position to 8th due to his recent underwhelming performances.

Travis Head, the opening batsman for Australia, currently holds the top spot in the ICC T20I batters rankings. Abhishek Sharma is in second place with 829 rating points, while Tilak Verma ranks fourth.

Indian T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav is positioned fifth with 739 rating points, and Yashasvi Jaiswal is in 12th place with 673 rating points.

In the bowlers' category, Jacob Duffy has achieved a career-high ranking, moving up to 12th overall after taking six wickets in the first two matches against Pakistan. Akeal Hosein leads the rankings, followed by Varun Chakravarty in second place. Pakistan's Haris Rauf, who claimed two wickets in the second T20I against New Zealand, has improved his ranking by four spots to 26th.

The ODI rankings have experienced minor adjustments following the matches in the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup League 2 held in Windhoek.

Aryan Dutt, a spinner from the Netherlands, has risen two spots to secure the 33rd position in the ODI bowler rankings after achieving a three-wicket haul against Namibia. His fellow teammate, Paul van Meekeren, has climbed six places to reach the 61st position.

Namibian player Erasmus made a significant impact by scoring a half-century against the Netherlands, which allowed him to ascend two places to the 10th position in the ODI all-rounder rankings.
