Muscat: Oman Post has struck a strategic cooperation agreement with the Danish firm eBox to develop and manage the Sultanate's National Digital Postbox. This new platform will act as a safe and legitimate channel of communication between government organizations, the business sector, and people.
This program is a critical milestone in Oman's digital transformation efforts, with the goal of improving data security and governance in accordance with Oman Vision 2040. The service will offer individuals and organisations with a legally recognised digital mailbox that complies with strict national data security laws. It will function as an alternative to many communication channels by delivering a single, trustworthy 24/7 digital source for official papers like as invoices, contracts, statements, and notices.
According to Sayyid Nasr bin Badr Al Busaidi, Head of the Postal Unit at Oman Post, the digital postbox will aid government organizations in providing services. More quickly and provide organizations with a safe form of communication. He said that the cooperation is consistent with Oman Vision 2040's objectives of improving the individual experience, increasing private sector competitiveness, and safeguarding national data.
