Muscat: Today, the National Defence College (NDC) commenced the parallel programme titled "Climate Change and Net Zero." This initiative aims to emphasize the national strategy and program for achieving net zero emissions. It also focuses on sharing best practices, sustainable solutions, and national priorities in order to reach the goal of net zero emissions.
The first day of the programme featured a lecture on the "National Strategy for Organized Transformation to Net Zero" delivered by Eng. Salim Nasser Al Aufi, the Minister of Energy and Minerals.
Scheduled to continue until May 23, 2024, this programme is organized within the framework of the NDC's mission to enhance the leadership skills and capabilities of various government officials, senior officers at the Sultan's Armed Forces (SAF), and other military and security units.
