Muscat: On Sunday, the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Youth officially unveiled the recipients of the 4th edition of the Children's Culture Award 2024. This prestigious award is designed to foster and elevate cultural and artistic innovation, while also encouraging young talent to realize their full potential.
The inaugural award was presented to Aleen Majid Al Saidi for her compelling topic on the significance of trees in biodiversity, securing the first-place position. Second place was awarded to Rawqan Mahmoud Ahmed for his outstanding work on the same theme, earning him the second prize. Third place was given to Jassim Yaqoub Al Nakhaili for his engaging topic, “Do you like animals?”.
These three laureates also achieved distinction by being among the top ten finalists in the “Talk so I can see you” competition, which is specifically tailored for children aged 7-12 years. Additionally, they participated in the “Oman Speaks” competition, aimed at recognizing writers and authors within the children’s literature segment.
The ceremony concluded under the esteemed patronage of Halima Rashid Al Zar’ee, the Chairperson of the Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises Development (ASMED).
It is important to highlight that the award will issue the third series of the competition’s outcomes for this edition at the forthcoming Muscat International Book Fair.
