Muscat: The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, in collaboration with the Ministry of Labour, has announced the creation of 1,157 job opportunities within the wholesale and retail sectors in the Sultanate of Oman. This figure includes 525 direct employment positions and 332 opportunities at fuel stations.
Additionally, the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion has facilitated the provision of 300 direct jobs, which will be accompanied by training in the retail sector through a partnership with a specialized academy. This initiative will be executed in conjunction with the Employment and Training Support Centre at the Ministry of Labour.
This announcement was made during a signing ceremony for cooperation programs with various establishments in the wholesale and retail sectors in Oman, alongside the launch of the "Itqan" program aimed at the industrial sector. This initiative is part of the Ministry's broader strategy to bolster employment and empower Omani youth within the retail and industrial fields.
Simultaneously with the "Itqan" program launch, the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion entered into cooperation agreements with several factories, industrial facilities, and higher education institutions to equip Omani youth with essential technical skills and knowledge.
