Muscat: Sayyid Hamoud bin Faisal Al Busaidi, the minister of interior, chaired the Interior Ministry's first meeting of the year (2025) with governors on Sunday.
During the meeting, which took place at the ministry's general diwan, the Interior Minister emphasized the need of keeping up with His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik's aim of harmonizing efforts to ensure the consistent growth of governorates.
The meeting also discussed ways to assign governors to carry out the Royal decrees on activating marriage support funds in the governorates.
The funds will function in compliance with guidelines set by the Minister of Interior before the end of June 2025.
The meeting also discussed a number of other topics of mutual concern, such as ways to carry out the recommendations of city councils.
