Meeting Reviews Procedures For Oman’s Participation In Global Conferences

Muscat: The Oman National Commission for Education, Culture and Sciences convened its inaugural meeting on Wednesday, presided over by Dr. Madiha Ahmed Al Shaibani, the Minister of Education and Chairperson of the Commission.

The agenda focused on strategies for showcasing Oman’s initiatives in education, culture, and science to international organizations. Additionally, the meeting reviewed the processes for Oman’s involvement in global conferences pertinent to these fields.

Commission members were updated on the goals and activities of various international organizations. The discussion also addressed the requirements of national entities regarding the services and activities offered by these organizations, exploring optimal methods to leverage their programs, particularly in alignment with Oman Vision 2040.

Attendees included HH Sayyida Dr. Muna Fahd Al Said, Assistant Vice Chancellor for International Cooperation at Sultan Qaboos University, Dr. Abdullah Khamis Ambusaidi, Undersecretary for Education and Deputy Chairman of the Commission, along with representatives from national bodies and institutions associated with international organizations such as UNESCO, ISESCO, and ALECSO.
