Muscat: Yesterday, the joint committee of the State Council and Shura Council convened a meeting to address the contentious issues surrounding the draft Media Law, which was referred by the Council of Ministers.
A total of 46 disputed items were identified between the two councils, with an additional 12 items proposed by the Shura Council and 3 items put forth by the State Council.
The committee will present its report on the disputed items for further deliberation during the upcoming joint session between the two councils.
