Muscat: On Tuesday, the joint committees of the State Council and the Shura Council convened to address the contentious articles within the proposed legislation.
The Council of Ministers had referred several disputed bills for their review, including those concerning "Regulating the transfer and transplantation of human organs and tissues," "Public health," and "Electronic transactions."
The committees identified 26 contentious articles in the draft law regarding the transfer and transplantation of human organs and tissues, 18 in the public health draft law, and 19 in the electronic transactions draft law.
Ultimately, the committees achieved a consensus on all disputed articles. They will present their findings for consideration during the upcoming joint session of the State Council and the Shura Council.
