Iraq, Jordan Extend Support To Oman Over Shooting Incident

Muscat: On Wednesday, the Foreign Minister of Oman, Sayyid Badr Hamad Al Busaidi, and the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of the Republic of Iraq, Fuad Hussein, discussed the strengthening ties between their nations over a phone conversation.

They also covered recent developments and highlighted the shared goals of both countries in supporting various strategies for ensuring regional and global peace, security, and stability.

Fuad Hussein, the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Iraq, conveyed his country's support for Oman following a shooting incident near a Mosque in Al Wadi Al Kabir, Muscat Governorate. He also offered his condolences for the loss of civilians and the sacrifice of a police officer.

At the same time, Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, the Foreign Minister of Oman, was contacted by Ayman Safadi, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates from the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

Ayman Safadi from Jordan showed his country's solidarity with Oman regarding the shooting incident in Al Wadi Al Kabir. He also offered his condolences to Oman for the loss of civilians and the sacrifice of a police officer.

In their conversation, the two ministers emphasized the strong relationship between Oman and Jordan and the continuous positive collaboration between the two nations across various sectors.
