Salalah: The third Summer School for faculty members of higher education institutions in the Sultanate of Oman began on Sunday in Dhofar Governorate.
Sultan Qaboos University (SQU) is hosting a six-day event themed "The Integration of Emotional and Artificial Intelligence in Higher Education" at the Rotana Salalah Hotel.
The opening event was conducted under the patronage of Dr. Ahmed Mohsen Al Ghassani, Chairman of Dhofar Municipality, and attended by numerous officials and academic faculty members from higher education institutions.
The Summer School is a component of Sultan Qaboos University's initiatives to encourage academic growth and attract academic tourists during the Khareef Dhofar (monsoon) season. It gathers 50 academics and professionals from six higher education organizations in Oman.
The Summer School's agenda includes interactive workshops, panel discussions, and meetings with local and international specialists, with the goal of enriching participants' knowledge and raising awareness about building future-ready communities through the integration of emotional and artificial intelligence in higher education.
Sultan Qaboos University continues to use such efforts to foster a culture of academic achievement and improve faculty readiness to adapt to modern educational changes, in line with Oman's goals for a resilient and integrated higher education system.
