Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, the Supreme Commander, today graced the Medical City with a Royal visit, during which he presided over the ceremonial inauguration of the Medical City Hospital for Military and Security Services in Muscat.
Upon His Majesty's arrival at the Medical City, he was warmly welcomed by HH Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, the Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs, Board Chairman of the Medical City for Military and Security Services, and Eng. Uday bin Hilal Al Maawali, the Head of the Medical City for Military and Security Services. His Majesty was also greeted by several ministers, commanders, board members of the Medical City.
In the Medical City Hospital for Military and Security Services - Muscat, the Head of the City was honored with the opportunity to deliver a speech before His Majesty the Sultan.
Following the speech, His Majesty had the privilege of viewing a visual presentation detailing the advancements in the medical sector, the contributions of Omani physicians over the centuries, and the evolution of the medical field within the Sultanate of Oman, from its inception to the present day. This visit was particularly significant as it marked the inauguration of this prestigious medical facility, symbolizing another milestone in the nation's resurgence and renaissance.
Subsequently, His Majesty the Supreme Commander bestowed his Royal blessings, officially marking the opening of the Medical City Hospital for Military and Security Forces - Muscat.
The ceremony was further enriched by a comprehensive film showcasing the medical facilities, specialized departments, and the high standards of healthcare provided by the Medical City Hospital, highlighting its invaluable contribution to the healthcare sector in Oman.
His Majesty also undertook a tour of the hospital's various departments and wings, where he received briefings on the architectural design. The hospital was constructed to the utmost technical standards, ensuring it meets the demands of medical services and aligns with the vision of the Medical City for Military and Security Services and the broader national objectives, in harmony with Oman Vision 2040.
Following the tour, His Majesty delivered a Royal address to commemorate this Royal visit and the official inauguration of the Medical City Hospital for Military and Security Services - Muscat.
His Majesty concluded the visit by extending his hand in greeting to the assistant heads of the Medical City for Military and Security Services, directors general of the Medical City’s hospitals, and engineers involved in the project for Military and Security Services - Muscat.
Afterwards, His Majesty left the Medical City for Military and Security Services, leaving behind a legacy of support and recognition for the significant contributions of the Medical City to the nation's healthcare and military sectors.
