Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik is scheduled to embark on a state visit to the Republic of Turkey on Thursday, November 28, 2024, following an invitation extended by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan of Turkey.
This announcement was made by the Diwan of the Royal Court. The statement reads as follows:
"In light of the robust relations between the Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Turkey, and the mutual enthusiasm to foster areas of cooperation and expand their scope, His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik will undertake a state visit to Turkey. This visit is in response to the invitation extended by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan of Turkey.
The purpose of this visit is to delve into the existing cooperation across various sectors, aimed at furthering the interests and aspirations of both nations. The leaders will engage in discussions on regional and international developments.
During the visit, His Majesty the Sultan will be accompanied by an esteemed delegation. This delegation includes HH Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs, HH Sayyid Nabigh bin Talal Al Said, Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court, Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, Dr. Hamad bin Said Al Aufi, Head of the Private Office, Abdussalam bin Mohammed Al Murshidi, Chairman of Oman Investment Authority, Qais bin Mohammed Al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, and Saif bin Rashid Al Jahwari, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Republic of Turkey.
