HM The Sultan, President Of Angola Hold Official Talks

Muscat, 19 Dec (ONA) — His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and President Joao Lourenco of Angola convened an official meeting at Al Alam Palace today.

The discussions focused on enhancing cooperation and investment opportunities between the two nations in sectors such as mining, agriculture, food security, ports, logistics, and renewable energy.

Representing Oman were HH Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs; HH Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said, Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth; Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court; Gen. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Nu'mani, Minister of the Royal Office; Sayyid Hamoud bin Faisal Al Busaidi, Minister of Interior; Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister; Dr. Hamad bin Said Al Oufi, Head of the Private Office; Abdulsalam bin Mohammed Al Murshidi, Chairman of Oman Investment Authority; and Dr. Said bin Mohammed Al Saqri, Minister of Economy (Head of the Mission of Honour).

From the Angolan delegation, attendees included José de Lima Massano, Minister of State for Economic Coordination; Téte António, Minister of External Relations; Vera Esperança dos Santos, Minister of Finance; Diamantino Pedro Azevedo, Minister of Mineral Resources, Oil and Gas; Mário Augusto da Silva Oliveira, Minister of Telecommunications, Information Technology, and Social Communication; Edeltrudes Costa Lourenço, Chief of Staff at the Presidency; and Dr. Frederico Cardoso, non-resident Ambassador of Angola.

Following this, His Majesty the Sultan and the Angolan President engaged in a private session.
