Brussels: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and Alexander De Croo, the Prime Minister of Belgium, convened for an official discussion at the Belgian Prime Minister’s Office (Le Lambermont) today.
The dialogue focused on investment and economic collaboration, exploring ways to enhance these areas for mutual benefit. Both parties shared insights on international trends and global shifts, as well as potential investment opportunities across various sectors.
Representing Oman were HH Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs; Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court; Gen. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Nu’amani, Minister of the Royal Office; Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister; Dr. Hamad bin Said Al Aufi, Head of the Private Office; Abdussalam bin Mohammed Al Murshidi, Chairman of Oman Investment Authority; Eng. Salim bin Nassir Al Aufi, Minister of Energy and Minerals; and Rua Issa Al Zadjali, Ambassador of Oman to Belgium.
On the Belgian side, attendees included Tinne Van der Straeten, Minister of Energy; Pascal H. Grégoire, Ambassador of Belgium to Oman; Theodora Gentzis, President of the Board of the Belgian Federal Public Service of Foreign Affairs; Tom Neijens, Diplomatic Advisor to the Prime Minister; Francis Corneille, Director of the Middle East and North Africa Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; and Geert Muylle, Ambassador and Special Envoy for Energy Security and Critical Raw Materials at the Belgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
