Muscat: His Highness Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said, the Minister of Culture, Sports, and Youth, today graced the occasion of the 54th Glorious National Day by patronizing the military music showcase hosted by the Royal Opera House Muscat.
This three-day concert serves as a continuation of the annual military music events organized by the house during the prestigious month of November. These events feature the participation of both Omani military bands and international bands, all coming together to celebrate this joyous occasion.
On the Omani front, a diverse array of military bands will be taking part, including the Royal Guard of Oman, the Royal Army of Oman, the Royal Air Force of Oman, the Royal Navy of Oman, the Royal Oman Police, the Royal Cavalry, the Royal Camel Corps, the Scout Band, and the Infantry Team of the Royal Army of Oman.
This gathering presents an exceptional opportunity for spectators to witness the precision and artistry of military parade performances, alongside the enchanting sounds of bagpipes, drums, and various wind instruments, alongside other selected musical pieces.
This event, reflecting the strong ties that connect the Sultanate of Oman with nations worldwide, showcases Oman's openness to international relations. This year, the event welcomed friendly countries such as Jordan and Austria, enriching the celebration with traditional military performances from each country, known for their exquisite costumes.
The main square of the Royal Opera House Muscat was filled with spectators as they marveled at the display of artistic prowess in elaborate formations, accompanied by the melodies of military music. The event also featured performances by percussion bands, incorporating various heritage segments, and highlighted the participation of a group of the most talented musicians from Oman.
