HH Sayyid Theyazin Chairs Main Committee For Oman’s Participation In Expo 2025 Osaka

Muscat: HH Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said, the Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth, presided over the meeting of the main committee responsible for coordinating the Sultanate of Oman's participation in Expo 2025 Osaka, Japan.

During the meeting held today in Muscat, the committee assessed the current preparations for Oman’s involvement in the international event, focusing on the pavilion, which is nearing completion, and the initiation of trial activities within it.

HH Sayyid Theyazin, as the Chairman of the Main Committee, acknowledged the hard work of the committee and the Commission in ensuring the pavilion's readiness. He emphasized that Oman’s presence at this global event should showcase the nation’s distinctive position on the world stage.

The Commission signed sixteen agreements to bolster the Sultanate of Oman’s pavilion. The signing ceremony was attended by members of the Main Committee and executives from supporting organizations, including St. Regis Al Mouj Muscat Resort.

Sayyid Said bin Sultan Al Busaidi, the Commissioner General for the Sultanate of Oman Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka, executed the agreements in the presence of representatives from the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI), the Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises Development (ASMED), Oman Environmental Services Holding Company (Be’ah), ITHCA Group, and Onsor Technologies LLC, along with other public and private sector representatives.

The meeting featured a visual presentation detailing Oman’s preparations for Expo 2025 in Osaka, including the pavilion's design.

During the session, participants received an overview of the various collaborative efforts between Oman and Japan, as well as the rights and benefits that will be extended to supporting organizations and companies during Oman’s participation in Expo Osaka 2025.

Expo 2025 Osaka will be held in the Japanese city of Osaka under the theme “Designing Future Society for Our Lives.” The event is set to occur from April 13 to October 13, 2025, on Yumeshima Island in Osaka Bay. This international exhibition will unite countries to celebrate innovation and technological progress while addressing global challenges.
