The Ministry of Health inaugurated the Al Hallaniyat Health Center on Monday in the Wilayat of Shalim & Al Hallaniyat Islands, Dhofar Governorate, under the auspices of Dr. Ahmed Mohsen Al Ghassani, Head of Dhofar Municipality. The project, which has a total investment exceeding OMR 1.3 million, encompasses an area of 8,000 square meters, with the building itself covering 861 square meters.
The center features two general clinics that offer primary healthcare services and medical examinations. It is equipped with a consultation room furnished with advanced diagnostic tools, an observation room with a medical bed for emergencies, as well as radiology and sterilization facilities. Additionally, there is a dental clinic dedicated to oral health.
A maternity unit is included to provide safe care for mothers and their newborns, along with a fully equipped maternal and child health ward to promote the well-being of women and children on the island.
Other amenities at the center comprise a medical laboratory, pharmacy, medicine storage area, reception, and waiting rooms for both genders. The establishment of this health center addresses the challenges faced by the local community in accessing comprehensive healthcare services, which had been hindered by geographical isolation. This initiative is part of the government's ongoing commitment to enhance healthcare accessibility throughout Oman.
