Muscat: The Ministry of Education will reveal the results of the General Education Diploma (GED) tests and equivalent certifications for the first semester of the 2024/2025 academic year tomorrow.
Dr. Madiha Ahmed Al Shaibani, Minister of Education, supported the broad indicators for these findings.
A total of 54,856 male and female students applied for the General Diploma, with a success rate of 82.83%. 1,579 students applied for the General Education Diploma in private (bilingual) institutions, with a success rate of 91.58%. In addition, 121 pupils applied for the General Education Diploma in Islamic Studies, with a 100% success rate.
Sixty-one pupils applied for the General Education Diploma (Special Education), with a success rate of 86.89%. The Vocational and Technical General Education Diploma had 138 candidates, with a 100% success rate.
The minister of education praised the students for their accomplishment.
The results will be available starting at 4:00 p.m. tomorrow, Thursday, July 17, 2025, via SMS from telecom providers by texting the seat number to 90200.
The Ministry took all required steps to verify compliance with examination management rules, allowing for the smooth administration of exams in a peaceful and pleasant educational setting. This year, applicants took their tests at 366 testing locations spread throughout the Sultanate of Oman's governorates.
Furthermore, 16 infractions of the rules governing the administration of the General Education Diploma tests and their equivalents were registered. Appropriate action was taken in response to these breaches, in accordance with Ministerial Decision No. (588 / 2015) on these rules. In response to these infractions, the Ministry investigated all surrounding circumstances to identify and corroborate each case before imposing suitable penalties in collaboration with the appropriate agencies.
