Nizwa: The University of Nizwa hosted a significant forum today, aimed at determining rankings and categories for universities in Oman.
This forum brought together leaders from both public and private universities and colleges in Oman, as well as representatives from academic institutions in Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, and Pakistan. Notably, the forum was also attended by representatives from the renowned international comparative data institution, the "World University Ranking Index of Quacquarelli Symonds (QS)".
Dr. Rahma Ibrahim Al Mahrouqi, the Minister of Higher Education, Research, and Innovation, graced the event as the chief guest and emphasized in her speech the importance of this forum in showcasing the opportunities and challenges faced by Omani higher education institutions in their pursuit of regional and international ranking recognition.
