Forum Focuses On Efforts Of Government Institutions In Field Of Digital Transition

The Government Digital Transformation Forum 2024's second edition commenced at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre in Muscat on Wednesday. Organized by the Ministry of Transport, Communications, and Information Technology, the two-day forum is being held alongside the COMEX Global Technology Show 2024.

Dr. Ali Amer Al Shidhani, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transport, Communications, and Information Technology for Communications and Information Technology, presided over the opening ceremony of the forum. The event aims to showcase the efforts and accomplishments of government institutions in the digital transition field, highlighting the best practices regionally and globally while exploring future opportunities to maximize the benefits of innovative technical solutions and knowledge transfer.

Furthermore, the forum seeks to enhance human resources capabilities to align with global advancements, facilitate the exchange of experiences in digital transition, strengthen government relationships, and foster partnerships between the public and private sectors.

The forum focuses on two key themes: achieving comprehensive digital transformation and sharing success stories in digital transition and related partnerships between public and private sectors in Oman.

Al Shidhani emphasized that the organization of the Government Digital Transformation Forum underscores the Ministry's dedication to strengthening the foundations of sustainable development. He also highlighted the Ministry's commitment to adopting the best regional and global practices in implementing innovative technical solutions to enhance the efficiency and quality of government services provided to citizens and residents.
