With just one week remaining until the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025 commences, all participating nations have finalized their squads and announced the players who will compete in Pakistan and the UAE.
As the tournament approaches, here is the complete list of confirmed squads set to participate:
Group A
Bangladesh
Having reached the semi-finals in the last ICC Men’s Champions Trophy in 2017, Bangladesh will be led by Najmul Hossain Shanto as they aim to advance further this time.
Notably, Shakib Al-Hasan and Litton Das have been omitted from a squad that features the seasoned talents of Mahmadullah and Mushfiqur Rahim, alongside some promising young players.
Nahid Rana, recognized as Bangladesh’s fastest bowler, consistently exceeds speeds of 150kph, while Rishad Hossain made an impressive debut in T20I cricket by hitting a six for his first scoring shot, and he also launched the first ball he faced in ODIs for six. Both players, at 22 years old, are eager to make a significant impact.

However, they will be missing key fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah, who withdrew late due to a back injury. His spot has been filled by 22-year-old Harshit Rana, who made his ODI debut against England earlier this year and took 19 wickets, contributing to the Kolkata Knight Riders' victory in last year's IPL.
Mohammed Shami, who was the top wicket-taker at the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 with 24 wickets, is also included in India's bowling lineup.

With Tim Southee and Trent Boult stepping back, players like Will O’Rourke, Nathan Smith, and Ben Sears are eager to make their mark, competing alongside experienced bowlers Matt Henry and Lockie Ferguson for a place in the lineup.
Kane Williamson, Devon Conway, and Rachin Ravindra, who amassed 578 runs during the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023, form the backbone of a seasoned batting order.

They will also be without the key spinner Mujeeb Ur Rahman; however, Rashid Khan, who made history by reaching 100 ODI wickets in just 43 matches, remains a vital part of the team.
The batting order is strengthened by Ibrahim Zadran, who played a crucial role with a match-winning 87 against Pakistan in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023, and followed it up with an unbeaten 129 against Australia. Rahmanullah Gurbaz, who accumulated 280 runs in the same tournament, is also part of the lineup.

To address the absence of these seamers, Aaron Hardie, Sean Abbott, Ben Dwarshuis, Nathan Ellis, and Spencer Johnson will step in, while spinner Tanveer Sangha will provide support to Adam Zampa.
In Cummins' absence, Steve Smith will take on the captaincy and is expected to play a crucial role in a batting lineup that also includes Travis Head, who recently scored an impressive 137 in Australia’s victory over India in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 final.

The squad features Joe Root, who returns to the 50-over format after not participating since the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023. This will mark his third appearance in the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy, alongside Buttler, Adil Rashid, and Mark Wood, who have all previously played in the tournament.
