FIAP Honours Winners Of University World Photography Cup China

Jinan: The Sultanate of Oman has been recognized with a series of accolades and honorary medals at the inaugural edition of the "1st Universities & Academies Photographic World Cup." The winners of this prestigious competition were honored during a ceremony today in Jinan, China, amidst the presence of the President of the International Federation of Photographic Art (FIAP).

The National University of Science and Technology emerged as the second-place winner among universities and academic institutions on a global scale.

Maria Mohammed Al Rahbi from the Sultan Qaboos University secured the second-place position in the individual category, representing students from various universities and academic institutions worldwide.

Additionally, Al Waleed Al Amri from the Sultan Qaboos University and Nawf Al Siyabi from the University of Technology and Applied Sciences were presented with medals of appreciation by the FIAP.

The Federation of International Photographic Art (FIAP) extended certificates of appreciation to the following individuals: Ru’aa Al Shuaili, Ahmed Al Shehhi, Mohammed Al Shuaili from the University of Technology and Applied Sciences, Sara Al Ghatrafi, and Maather Al Ghatrafi from the National University of Science and Technology, Rashid Al Naabi from the German University of Technology, Saleh Al Khadouri from the Middle East College, and Wahab Al Kindi from Sultan Qaboos University.

FIAP announced the university level winners as follows: (1) Bengal Academy of Photography, (2) National University of Science and Technology from the Sultanate of Oman, and (3) Padang Panjak Academy of Arts of Indonesia.

In the individual category, Sri Lankan photographer Isora Nimantha was awarded the first place, followed by Maria bint Mohammed Al Rahbi from Sultan Qaboos University in second place, and Arash Kaki from Iran in third place.
