Expats Arrested With Counterfeit Currency Worth OMR 10,000 In North Al Batinah

Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP) has announced the arrest of four expatriates following their involvement in a fraudulent scheme. They have been captured for impersonating citizens and engaging in the exchange of counterfeit foreign currency denominations, totaling OMR 10,000, in the North Al Batinah region, the ROP statement has revealed.

The law enforcement agency of the North Al Batinah Governorate Police Command has taken action against these individuals for their possession of counterfeit foreign currency notes, particularly those in significant amounts, coupled with their deceptive practices. They lured a resident to part with OMR 10,000 in the form of these counterfeit currencies, leading to the completion of legal proceedings against them.
